Tradeweb Markets announced on Tuesday that it has appointed Rich Chun as managing director and president of Asia, as the company continues to expand its presence across the region.

Based in Hong Kong, Chun will oversee Tradeweb’s business operations, customer engagement, and strategic growth initiatives across the Asia Pacific region.

Chun has more than 30 years of experience in global markets, including senior trading and portfolio management roles at HPS Investment Partners, Claren Road Asset Management, and Citigroup.

“Rich Chun brings broad industry insight to help us deepen relationships and deliver greater value to the local investment community,” said Enrico Bruni, Co-Head of Global Markets.

Chun joins at a time of strong performance for Tradeweb’s international business, which posted a 41% year-over-year revenue increase in Q2 2025.

“I am honored to join Tradeweb at such a dynamic time for financial services in Asia,” said Chun. “Tradeweb has earned its reputation as a trusted and innovative partner across asset classes.”

Tradeweb has offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo, and has played a leading role in opening up Chinese bond markets through initiatives such as Bond Connect and Swap Connect.

In the first three quarters of 2025, the total trading volume in yen interest rate swaps and Japanese government bonds increased by 67.3% and 24.6% year-on-year, respectively.

Troy Dixon, co-head of global markets, said Chun’s appointment reflects Tradeweb’s commitment to “investing in the best talent” and expanding its regional operations.
