Plus500 said on Tuesday that it had obtained approval from the financial organizer in Colombia to open a representative office in the country, which represents the first step of the Fintech Group in the Latin American market.

The company said on Tuesday that it had received a license from the Colombian financial supervision (SFC), which allowed it to create a presence in the trading sector that does not depict the country.

This step expands the international Plus500 fingerprint and enables it to build stronger relationships with local stakeholders while providing more Colombian service.

Plus500 operates special trading platforms covering a set of asset categories. The group described Colombia as a fast -growing market and said that the new office will be the basis for broader regional growth.

The company intends to gradually expand its local proposal, as it offers a range of multi -channel products and services to enhance customer participation and support for long -term expansion.

“We are pleased to obtain permission to enter the Colombian market. This is another important landmark that reflects our commitment to developing the group’s presence in new markets around the world, while ensuring the continuation of work in full compliance with local regulatory frameworks,” said CEO David Zrea.

Plus500 said that its growth strategy is still focusing on diversification in new geographical regions, investing in technology -based trading solutions and ensuring commitment to organizational standards.

Colombia’s office is expected to be a group gate for more opportunities in Latin America.
