
Plus500 set Nick Scarf as CEO of its Australian operations.
SCARF announced the move in LinkedIn’s post, saying: “I am pleased to share that I have started a new position as an executive president at Plus500 Australia!”
Although Plus500 has not yet formally confirmed, the state reports of the SEAN Murphy, which has led the Australian unit over the past ten years.
SCARF brings more than 30 years of experience in the financial markets, recently held the position of CEO of Operations in Australia and New Zealand in Marex.
Before MAREX acquired ED & F Man Capital Markets Australia in 2022, Coo role in that company. Genesis also led the trading of ownership as an executive head from 2015 to 2020, and he held high positions at NewDge Singapore and MF Global.
Changing the leadership highlights the importance of the Australian market for Plus500, which achieved revenues of $ 51.4 million locally last year.
Plus500 has seen strong growth in the world, with 2024 numbers of 30 % increase in new customers to 118,010 and total customer deposits of up to $ 3 billion.
In the trading update in the first quarter, Plus500 said it owns “It has started an excellent start for this year, driven by the recent economic and financial conditions of the market,” and its results are expected to be 2025 before the current market expectations.
