Behind Szandra John Bendermacher, which retires after a period leads the group’s internal audit function.

Her appointment is a return to the roots of the Euroclear audit, after her career began in the company in 2010 within the internal audit team.

It brings wide experience and deep knowledge of the organization for its new role.

Since 2021, Szandra has held a senior risk official at the EuroClear Bank, the ICSD Central Securities (ICSD), and sat in the bank council.

In this role, it was seen as essential in moving in a complex risk environment and evolving through global geopolitical developments.

Before joining the Euroclear, Szandra worked as PWC audit manager. She holds a master’s degree in economics from Debreen University in Hungary and is a legal accountant.

EUROCLEAR has described its background as a strong attack for this role, noting its comprehensive understanding of the risks, scrutiny and group operations.

Her appointment comes at a time when EUROCLEAR continues to enhance governance and control functions throughout the group.
